How are you? Welcome to my blog. In this post, I will talk about Futtun’s progress update, from Monday 27 April 2026 to today, Sunday 3 May 2026.
Started work on uploading the audit log back to Futtun#
Since last week, you can download your audit log from Futtun. This week, I started work on allowing you to upload it back into Futtun for the app to parse it, and recreate all your data from it.
It is taking longer than I thought, because JavaScript lacks tools in its standard library to deal with CSV files. On one side, it makes sense, considering what JavaScript is and its use cases. On the other side, it is annoying, because it forced me to explore third party libraries. I had to figure out which ones are applicable (since Futtun is front-end only), compare them, and make a decision. All time I could not invest in progressing the feature.
Dependency updates#
With Futtun being an Internet facing application, I will now need to keep on top of updating its dependencies for as long as I will keep Futtun available.
